🛡️ BrightKids Academy is designed for children and complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). All child data is managed exclusively by parents or legal guardians.
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create a parent account, including your name, email address, and optional phone number. For child profiles, we collect the child's first name, age, and grade level — managed entirely by the parent or legal guardian. We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13. All child data is entered and managed by parents.
BrightKids Academy complies fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). • Children under 13 cannot create accounts independently. • All child profiles are created and managed by a verified parent or legal guardian. • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. • Parents can review, update, or delete their child's information at any time from the Parent Dashboard. • We do not display advertising to children or share children's data with third parties for advertising purposes.
We use collected information to: • Provide personalized learning experiences tailored to each child's grade level • Track and display learning progress to parents • Send weekly progress reports to parents (if opted in) • Improve our educational content and platform • Respond to customer support requests We do not sell your personal information or your child's information to third parties.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only: • With service providers who assist in operating our platform (under strict confidentiality agreements) • When required by law or to protect legal rights • With your explicit consent We never share children's personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including: • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) • Secure password storage using hashing • PIN-protected child profiles • Regular security reviews While no system is 100% secure, we take all reasonable precautions to protect your information.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from the Parent Dashboard by selecting "Delete Account." Upon deletion: • Your parent account will be permanently removed • All child profiles and associated learning data will be permanently deleted • This action cannot be undone You may also contact us at privacy@brightkidsacademy.com to request data deletion.
As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to: • Access the personal information we have collected about your child • Request correction of inaccurate information • Request deletion of your child's information • Refuse further collection or use of your child's data • Review the educational content your child interacts with To exercise these rights, log in to your Parent Dashboard or contact us at privacy@brightkidsacademy.com.
Our app does not include third-party advertising networks. We use limited third-party services to operate the platform (such as cloud hosting and analytics). These providers are contractually required to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services to us. Children's profiles are not accessible to any third-party advertising or data-broker services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice within the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
